Gustave III [collection] : oder, Le bal masqué : opéra en cinq actes / paroles de E. Scribe ; musique de D.F.E. Auber. 1833-1850.

Arranged in three groups: I. Vocal scores (3 in 4 vols.). II. Vocal parts (22). III. Promptbooks (3). The vocal scores include a French edition published by Heugel (Paris, 1835-1850?), a German/French edition by B. Schott (Mainz, 184-?), and an English manuscript version in two volumes (Acts II-III) bearing the stamp of T. Goodwin, New York (1835-1850?). All of the vocal parts are handwritten in German; some are bound in blue folders, and many bear the stamp "Theater Direction L.F. Witt zu Kiel." Two of the German promtbooks are based on published librettos (B. Schott, 1833; the other is probably also by Schott, although the t.p. is lacking) and the third is manuscript.
